Brains

Event image

In 1995 the zombies came to the small town of Möllinge and nothing was the same after that. No one cared anymore about the aftermath of the financial crisis or tried to get tickets to the movie premiere of Braveheart. Life was simply about surviving the day.
Come and play Brains! Take on the role of one of our everyday heroes and try to survive the zombie outbreak together with your fellow players. The Swedish-developed game is a cooperative figure game with an action-packed and intuitive rule system that does not require any prior knowledge.
Start with the introductory scenario or one of the scenarios found in the rulebook. You also have the opportunity to audition material that is under development. Also take the opportunity to exchange a few words with the game's creator who is in charge of the arrangement.

Level 7: Omega Protocol

Event image

In the 1950s the United States government made contact with a race of technologically advanced beings known as the Ghin. The Ghin leader, a brilliant scientist named Cronos, had come to earth seeking a cure for a deadly plague threatening to annihilate his race. Cronos believed the cure to the plague could be found within human DNA, which was remarkably similar to that of the Ghin.

Less than twenty-four hours ago, several test subjects managed to escape the Subterra Bravo facility. Their actions led to a complete breakdown in relations between the human corroborators and Cronos' minions. Having planned for this eventuality, the US government has enacted the Omega Protocol. . .

Level 7: Omega Protocol is a game of tactical combat between a fireteam of commandos sent by an unacknowledged department within the US government to pacify the situation at Subterra Bravo and the sinister swarms of inhuman creatures that have overtaken the facility. Up to five players can take on the role of commandos, while one player acts as the overseer who controls Subterra Bravo's monstrous denizens.

Try a tactical and action-packed sci-fi Dungeon Crawler! No previous knowledge required.

The Kalabalik in Saskervoy

Event image

After many long years of war and conflict, the Four Armies have now gathered in the ruined city of Saskervoy to allow diplomats, envoys and delegates to negotiate a peace.

But not everyone is equally interested in letting the fires of war go out, and in the shadowy alleys of the city there are war bands, street gangs, monsters and mercenaries who all try to work for or against peace... or just fight as much as they can.

The Kalabalik in Saskervoy is a drop-in skirmish game where you can choose between a dozen different warbands belonging to one of the four different factions.

Win as many points as possible for your side and help decide Tyria's future.

So come on by and try out the One Page Rules skirmish system, our doors are open throughout the event and each match takes no more than half an hour to an hour.

"Hidden" Narrative Miniature Game

Plum Island off Massachusetts is a very inconspicuous island. It has been inhabited for as long as people can remember, but rarely does anything happen here. They fish for cod in the Atlantic when the weather permits, and drink their beer at the pub in Fort Philips.
In 1924, however, the Navy decided to set up a seaplane base on the island. You can read that in old issues of the Arkham Advertiser.
More than a hundred men were to serve, and the fishermen in the village were worried about the fishing industry. The editorial in the paper recalled the publicized submarine attack on Orleans in the last year of the war, and wholeheartedly endorsed the protection now afforded to the people of Massachusetts after the thoughtless closing of the airship base at Chatham two years before.
A funny guy wrote in a post that the island's alleged nickname, "the last survivor island", came from the time of the witch trials and wondered what the navy boys thought when they heard it.
Another person demanded that the bishop of Massachusetts do something about it. However, it was unclear what he thought the church should do and what the problem actually was.

Smaller events, hardly worth mentioning, are to be found in small notices that year. The "Holy Church of Salvation and Trinity" foundation, based in Boston and Salem, had acquired land on Plum Island. They now advertised for young evangelists who want to mission in the area and revive the small community of Fort Philip with salvation.
The salary was promised to be more than one could reasonably wish for.

In the fishing village, the ethnologist James Bollingworth had organized a small exhibition of his work on the Wampanoag Indians.
A lecture at the pub "The gilded cod" would take place next Friday at 5 o'clock. Entry was 10p and children got in free.

That's all that can be found about Plum Island in the newspaper's archives from that time, and since. The island has been forgotten, although weather-beaten fishermen still land their catches in coastal ports. You can talk to them if you want; they are friendly but show a sense of humor some would find unpleasant, and they do it in the real old New England dialect.

Rust and Rot with Västspel

Event image

Is King Måses the giant rotting gull still terrorizing the area around the old silo? Is the iron giant Cevin still guarding the derailed Smälltåget? No one knows, but the family that does the most creditable things for their clan wins. Could be eliminating a threat, collecting important stuff for the clan, or making a good deal with the dromedary caravan trader Mrs Lawrence.

Västspel presents the child- and family-friendly version of the narrative, post-apocalyptic role-playing game Rust and Rot. Faster rounds and slightly fewer figures to keep track of, and here it's more about building a fun skirmish than the tactics of your battles.
