Magic the Gathering - Mindstage
Traditions are important and especially on holidays like Easter. Then we escape from work, family and obligations and play Magic in Gothenburg! We are competing for over SEK 50,000 in prizes!
We will crown Swedish champions in three different formats. Pioneer, Vintage and Commander! A lucky player will also qualify for the European Legacy Masters where he gets to represent Sweden in the Swedish team. We have the popular team competitions team-sealed and team trios (standard/modern/legacy) and of course the Easter Championships in Premodern!
This year, just like last year, the Magic will take place at Landala sports hall, where we will set up over 200 seats! (The magic therefore lasts a couple of hundred meters from Hvitfeldtska.)
You do not need to buy entry to Gothcon to play in any of our tournaments. But if you do, you support Gothcon and also get a discount on all tournaments you play.
Mindstage awards prizes equivalent to at least SEK 50,000 spread over our various tournaments! You compete for "GothCoins", a form of tickets that you can buy exactly what you want with the Mindstage shop that is on site. There you will find everything from boosters to exclusive magic cards. Either you take a little something, or you collect for something bigger over the whole Easter weekend!
See the full schedule below! Just like before, you can come in and play our magic events without having bought a Gothcon ticket. But if you have paid entry to gothcon, you get a discount on the events you play. This means that if you only want to play a single tournament, you can do so without it being particularly expensive! Details:
The Prerelease Box contains 6 booster packs, plus tokens and additional materials to help you get started with Star Wars: Unlimited.
It also includes exclusive promos of the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader leaderboards.
Build a deck of 30 cards from your 6 boosters.
You may use as many copies of a card as you like.
You can use any Common Base, even if it wasn't in your boosters. Rare base cards must come from the booster.
Your leader cards can come from one of the six boosters, or you get to use one of the promo leader cards from the Prerelease Box.
Cost: SEK 400 paid via Condaba.

Praxis Seizure: Gothenburg Vampire the Eternal Struggle Tournament
It's finally tournament time in Vampire the Eternal Struggle at GothCon 2024!
We start at 09:30 and go on until 12:00 when it's lunch, and then we start again at 13:00 with a second game, followed by a final table.
We will be in the Vasa location, room 521.
Register at the latest the day before via email to me (simongustafjohansson@gmail.com), otherwise a place cannot be guaranteed. Everything else applies on a first-come, first-served basis. The tournament is intended for 8-20 players.
If you want to be a judge and have the experience, we will be more than happy to hear from you.

Disney Lorcan
Come and play the new card game Lorcana!
You can play in 3 different ways:
FRIDAY: Draft drop-in on Friday (you do not need to register in advance). New draft starts as soon as 8 players want to play. Start at 11 am and the last draft starts at 6 pm at the latest. Draft works so that you open four new Lorcana booster packs and pick cards until you have a playable deck, then you compete against the other players with the deck you built. Cost: SEK 300. The top two players in each draft pod win prizes! You keep all the cards you draw during the draft.
Feel free to stop by and we'll tell you more.
SATURDAY we will hold a Constructed tournament which starts at 10.30.

BOTH DAYS we will organize "Learn to Play", for brand new players who want to learn Lorcana. It's drop in, no cost and games are available to borrow. Come by and learn to play Lorcana with us!
Anyone who plays at least 2 games, either in draft or constructed, will receive a nice Scrooge McDuck Promo card.
