Level 7: Omega Protocol

Event image

In the 1950s the United States government made contact with a race of technologically advanced beings known as the Ghin. The Ghin leader, a brilliant scientist named Cronos, had come to earth seeking a cure for a deadly plague threatening to annihilate his race. Cronos believed the cure to the plague could be found within human DNA, which was remarkably similar to that of the Ghin.

Less than twenty-four hours ago, several test subjects managed to escape the Subterra Bravo facility. Their actions led to a complete breakdown in relations between the human corroborators and Cronos' minions. Having planned for this eventuality, the US government has enacted the Omega Protocol. . .

Level 7: Omega Protocol is a game of tactical combat between a fireteam of commandos sent by an unacknowledged department within the US government to pacify the situation at Subterra Bravo and the sinister swarms of inhuman creatures that have overtaken the facility. Up to five players can take on the role of commandos, while one player acts as the overseer who controls Subterra Bravo's monstrous denizens.

Try a tactical and action-packed sci-fi Dungeon Crawler! No previous knowledge required.

Who Goes There?

Event image

Research teams in the Arctic have found a biological mass that disappears from the laboratory. Then everything goes to hell. Now it's about survival until help comes. But can you really still trust your peers? You must work together as the realms of someone not being who they say they are are increasing.
This is a game if you want to work together to survive, if it's not already the case that you're infected, the biological thing has its own agenda...
Based on the 1982 cult horror, this game captures the paranoia and terror of being isolated in the wasteland with an unknown danger that is closer than you dare to believe.
If you like co-op with hidden deduction elements, this is the game for you!
There will also be a chance to play the variant The Thing, which is a slightly darker variant on the same theme.
About 5 players per game, pre-registration is required, there is room for up to 17 players divided between 2 games of Who Goes There and one game of The Thing.

Frostpunk The boardgame Survival experience

Do you have what it takes to survive the apocalypse? The world has frozen and in order to survive, the last remnants of humanity have built large generators powered by precious coal. But time is short and the storm of the century is approaching. You must build shelters and collect food and resources to survive. Every action has irreversible consequences, the laws you make, the areas you explore, the buildings you build. Everything affects.

Do you have what it takes to survive the frost? Do you manage to keep your citizens healthy or do you let the diseases run wild? Are you collecting enough food or are people starving? Does everyone have a roof over their head or are some freezing at night? Are you a religious community or do you have strict laws and strict order? Do you dare to explore the outback to perhaps find salvation in the wilderness or do you isolate yourself from the entire outside world?

Come try out the coolest board game ever made and see if you've got what it takes. You can come and play in teams of 4 people per team. The teams that manage to survive end up on the Wall of fame of true survivors.
The version of Frostpunk that will be used is the deluxe edition with preshaded miniatures and neoprene playing mat. The game also uses a digital app that plays original music from the computer game.

Diplomacy

Event image

What would you do to win a game?

In Diplomacy, seven players experience European Great Power politics at its worst. On the surface, a war game with abstract rules, where both a sharp mind and a sharp tongue are needed for success. Diplomacy, however, is above all an exercise in being able to betray one's friends and dare to cooperate with one's enemies; Progress can only be made together with others, but there is only one winner!

The session begins with a short review of the rules and the game lasts until the end of the session. Beginners are promised an unforgettable experience with one of the must-try classics of the board game world! Veterans already know what they're getting into.

Heroquest standard & advanced

Heroquest
In the desolate northern mountains, the servants of fear gather again and spread their horror across the land. I, Mentor, have specifically asked you to undertake this dangerous mission, as I see in you courage, knowledge and the fire of justice burning like the flames in my hearth behind us. You will travel far, undergo challenges of the most difficult kind, and face dangers in the form of the worst monsters of fear, but if you succeed, you will find glory, notoriety and, more importantly, have saved the land from being covered in darkness. May all the luck be with you!

Heroquest children/youth
Games are led by our 12-year-old cave & story expert, who welcomes children and young people to journey into caves filled with danger and heroic deeds. Played with the standard rules for the new edition of Heroquest.

Heroquest advance
Own version of advance Heroquest from 1989, where the adventurers can choose ready-made characters or show their stats and choose a profession before the adventure. Played with D12s mainly and is a bit more demanding, but at the same time opens up more opportunities and challenges.

Marooned Meeples

Event image

"There is bad weather, there are no clothes." /Meeple proverbs

Keep your shipwrecked meeples alive in this brutal survival duel! Guide them through different seasons and various extreme weather. Grab the island's limited resources before your mortal enemy does.

Number of players: 2 (1 vs. 1)
Playing time: approx. 60 min
Age: 10+
Genre: Strategy
Mechanisms: Worker placement, Player elimination, Push your luck

* * *

The game has been in development since 2020 and is moving towards publication. This is the 12th version.

MM is designed based on three main principles:

1. Strategic depth. The player has many choices and they are rarely obvious. Gather, hunt, fish, farm. Build rain collectors, traps and other upgrades. Take care of yourself or play aggressively.
2. Ease of use. Quick setup, easy to learn. Clear structure that lets you focus on what to do, instead of keeping track of the rules.
3. Replay value. There are many things that can befall little meeples, from bee stings and starvation to pirates and hurricanes. The weather changes from "okay" to "crisis panic" and you never know for sure what to expect. You can win by building a raft, hoping a ship sees your smoke signals, or by claiming the island for yourself. All this together makes each game round unique.

The Twilight Empire

“It is a simple operation. In, out and then a little bang-bang on the way. Sukony Vlex tried to convince his NCOs on the Mentak cruiser Bounty that the Sumerian space station was an easy trade for some extra credits. As a coalition commander-captain, you were always expected to draw your own pay, which encouraged creativity. Unfortunately, it was also the case that every citizen had a skepticism about authority, and the commander who pushed his crew too hard risked being demoted to a dishwasher or ending up in the airlock. All right, the others said, and the ship deployed the antimatter cannons. Hardly had they done so before a whoosh went through the bridge. Where the heck did that flagship come from?!?”

Come play Twilight Imperium 4th ed with Prophecy of Kings and latest Codex! We play with the house rule: no bilateral Support for the Throne, i.e. you cannot exchange Support for the Throne with each other. This allows for more dynamic alliances and creative play. Registration only takes place through GothCon's website. Up to eight players. Semi-balanced map is made in advance
